What this chapter covers

Welcome to the Starter unit! You will meet the Super Friends: Whisper, Thunder, Misty and Flash. You will say hello, count to ten, say your age and say colours.

Here are the four Super Friends.

The chant (p. 4)

Hi, I'm Whisper. What's your name?
Hi, I'm Thunder. What a nice name!

Ask	Answer
What's your name?	I'm Misty. (or: My name's Misty.)

Start a name with a capital letter: Misty, Flash.

Answer: "What's your name?"

0.4Meet the Super Friends: making friends

Whisper can speak to animals! He talks to a cat. The cat's name is Tabby.

Whisper kneels and talks to a grey cat; the cat says I'm Tabby — "What's your name, cat?" "I'm Tabby."
