9.1Beach words

9.2Let's ...

The song "Happy holiday" (p. 108): Let's go to the beach. Let's take a photo. Let's catch a fish. Let's swim in the sea.

After Let's, use the plain action word: "Let's paint a picture", not "Let's painting".

Your friend says, "Let's take a photo." You like it. What do you say?

9.3Where's ...? Where are ...?

Two pairs of pictures: a shell on a sandcastle or beside it, and kites in a blue and yellow toy box or a red toy box — Where's the shell? Where are the kites?

in = inside. on = on the top.

9.4Story: The top of the hill

Six pictures: the friends decide to race up the hill, Flash runs ahead, a big rock stops her, and the friends come to help — Flash wants a race up the hill.

Thunder lifts the big rock, then the friends run together along the beach — Thunder lifts the rock. The friends go together.

Super Minds 1, pp. 110-111.

The friends talk about a race. Flash says, "Yes! Let's go." Flash runs up the hill, but a big rock stops her. Thunder lifts the rock and says, "Now you can race to the top, Flash!" Flash says, "No. Let's go together. That's more fun!"

Value: modesty. Do not say you are the best. Be happy to go together with friends.
